First, thank you so much! If you’ve made it to this page, we know you’re one of us. Someone who just absolutely loves serving Charlotte and is passionate about moving our city forward one step at a time. Our Volunteer Incentive Program launched in 2025 and was created to bring people together, make volunteering easier, and show our appreciation. Crown Collective hosts several races throughout the year; Around the Crown 10k Together with Truist, the neighborhood favorite NoDa5k, and new for 2026 Charlotte Racefest. Each time you volunteer you lock in the lowest pricing available for the next year's race (among some other awesome perks). Your volunteer hours add up to earn you exclusive swag, discounts, and other fun things as we continue to grow!
How it works:
Volunteer rewards are based on total hours volunteered, which are tracked automatically through VolunteerLocal.
Earn an official Volunteer shirt after volunteering 4-6 hours. (1-2 shifts)
Score bonus swag and gifts from our event partners at 7-10 hours. (2-3 shifts)
Become eligible for race registration rewards for events we support when you volunteer over 11 hours. (3-4 shifts)
How to Get Started:
Sign Up: Create a free account with Volunteer Local.
Select: Choose a shift at one of the upcoming races! We'll send basic details automatically, but be on the lookout for follow-up emails that will have more details and answer any FAQs leading up to race weekend.
Earn and Track: Follow the instructions for where to check in for your shift and complete your scheduled volunteer shift. View your completed hours anytime on your Volunteer profile.
Redeem: Claim your rewards once you’ve accumulated enough hours.
